Artist Statement

“My goal as an artist is healing; healing my own traumas, inspiring others to want to heal and providing the tools for our youth to heal from their bloodline traumas. I truly believe that we are given our gifts and our dreams for a reason… trust them! The world needs more people who are in alignment with their gifts from Creator.” –Ecko

“During the first annual Koksilah Music Festival in 2017, Ms. Aleck created a spontaneous, potent spoken word/prayer collaboration that was so impactful that a festival goer just yesterday named that as his most memorable moment of the first year of our festival.

Her set was magnetic and brought people from across the festival grounds to come and hear her, and take in her performance. She merges so beautifully the political, spiritual and artistic elements of her personality into her work. Bringing light to strong topics with a loving energy.

We would have her back in a heart-beat and be honored to do so.”

~ Beth Stupple and Alex Schiebel (Festival Directors of Koksilah Music Festival)
