A workshop led by Legendary OA Mother Posh Gvasalia, that covers foundations of Ballroom history, both local and international, and shares insights into Ballroom etiquette along with basics of Vogue Femme. This workshop is meant for folks who are FIRST TIME TO VOGUE. No dance background required, this class is for those who know nothing about Vogue! *The class will focus on Spins and Dips.
The contemporary Ballroom scene is a queer subculture and community founded in Harlem, New York by Black, LatinX Queer and Trans folks. It was pioneered in the 1960s by Crystal LaBeija and continues to resonate across cultures, time and geographical locations.

👤 About the Facilitator
Ralph Escamillan (Ballroom name: Posh Gvasalia Basquiat) has been active in Ballroom culture since 2014.
He is:
- Founder of the Kiki House of Gvasalia (Vancouver)
- Canadian Mother of the Mainstream House of Basquiat
- Founder and Artistic Director of VanVogueJam
He plays a key role in developing Ballroom culture across Western Canada.
