A legendary fundraiser, The Wee Tipple Party Whisk(e)y Festival, is easily one of Nanaimo’s most elegant evening’s out. 

This long running fundraising event, presented by Crimson Coast Dance Society with the support of The Grand Hotel, is the most elegant evening in Nanaimo.  It offers perfect pairings in every way; fine samplings, delicious hors d’oeuvres, live music, a silent auction, fundraising activities and this year, a little intrigue as we celebrate our 20^th year in classic style with a Speakeasy theme. Get dolled up and be aware of whispered passwords, sly grog, and sultry dancers for a night to remember.

The Grand Hotel, is our host venue since 2012. It is the perfect partnership as it houses a whisk(e)y bar and knowledge unmatched in the Central Island region.  The evening’s hors d’oeuvres spread challenges the whisk(e)y itself as an annual feature. The grand ambience of the hotel, and generosity of owners and staff, contribute to the sense of being transported to lands far away as the evening’s taste sensations inspire imagination.

Join us for a weekend with Master Classes and The Grand Tasting, sophistication with a dash of Latin heat and fundraising for Crimson Coast Dance. Funds support affordability for extraordinary dance programming that celebrates intergenerationality, culture, contemporary dance and fusions, Professional and community based events, throughout the year.
