Join us for pizza and public discourse as we consider the body politic. In particular contemporary dance, which, by its very name is constantly redefining itself as relevant. “Dance as the body politic” frames human movement and choreography not merely as entertainment, but as a physical manifestation of societal power, resistance, and community. It explores how bodies in motion—both individually and collectively—negotiate, challenge, or reinforce political structures, cultural identities, and social justice. Essentially, a body on stage is a canvas.
