
Body Talk 2026 Youth Workshops
Give your teen a meaningful and creative Spring Break experience
BODY TALK is a full-week youth workshop (ages 12-19) in Nanaimo where participants build confidence, express themselves creatively, and take part in a live performance.
What your teen will experience
Over the week, participants will:
- Build confidence and self-expression
- Learn through hip hop dance, drum, song, and movement
- Explore Indigenous culture in a respectful, hands-on way
- Work with professional artists and cultural leaders
- Be part of a supportive, creative team
- Take part in a live performance they can feel proud of
What is “Hip Hop Pow Wow”?
This program blends the energy of hip hop with Indigenous music, movement, and storytelling.
It creates a unique space where youth can learn, create, and express themselves while gaining a deeper understanding of culture and community.
