Welcome back the Sun (Sumsháthut) as we celebrate winter solstice with Indigenous music, traditional foods and holiday shopping at Trading Post market. Join us in welcoming PIQSIQ, the talented sister duo with Northern roots in Nunavut and Yellowknife. They will be performing their ethereal spellbinding music with traditional and holiday songs.
Curated and co-produced by Tsatassaya White, B.A.(Anthropology, UBC), a member of the Snuneymuxw First Nation (Coast Salish) and also a member, holding the name, Teniso, of the Takiishtakamlthat (Earthquake House) of the Hupacasath, (Nuu-chah-nulth). Tsatassaya is also an MA student in Hul’q’umi’num language (SFU).
